ART HAS BEEN part of my life for as long as I can remember. My typical format is small with great attention to detail.Watercolor, pen and ink have been my main emphasis, but I am now exploring oils and other media with happy results.
Other than taking strategic college courses, I have not had formal art training and the process of teaching myself has been an interesting journey.
Greeting cards fit my love of a small, minimalistic format with controlled design. Working in oil has given way to experimental abstracts with emphasis on color and movement. Art is limitless and the more we engage it, the more we understand our own gifts. For me it has been an organic process of learning, growing and finding new expression.
MY CARD COLLECTIONS feature a wide variety of art from whimsical to animals, Native American representation design and nature, each featuring a distinctive style. The cards have been featured in California galleries in San Diego, Cambria, Morro Bay and Bakersfield. A tremendous fan of Native American fetish dolls, my own creations have been featured in galleries in California, Colorado and Alaska. I am fortunate to have a national and international client base.
To describe my philosophy, vision and passion for art, I say simply, that each area continually develops as I learn to trust and communicate with freedom.
MY CAREER BACKGROUND includes marketing and public relations, journalism and non-profit management, as well as liaison work in the entertainment and film arenas.
My company, DCRdesign, a division of Rice Agency and Associates, is a creative art and design company, featuring my own greeting cards, and photography by Thad Rice, to an international client base.DCRinsights, is the non-profit/profit consulting division, including strategic planning, leadership and marketing/media training, topical business articles and editing services.
THE EMPOWERMENT of individuals, particularly, women, is important to me. As a writer and artist for over 30 years, my inspiration continues to be the ideas and implementation of integrity and ethics.
I write three blogs -- The first corresponds with this site -- Infiniti Crow at http://www.infiniticrow.blogspot.com/, designed to support DCRdesign art and greeting cards. The site will introduce new artwork, feature discussion about various pieces and encourage interaction and education.
I write a "personal expression" blog on a variety of self-help topics --
